 This is also one of the most important and commonly asked question in any job interview. 

Interviewers always expect the candidates to be able to explain and demonstrate their past / current work experience in detail at interview. Describe them your job roles, responsibilities, about the company, and the tenure you worked in the past. Always try to remember what you have mentioned in the CV before you face the interview. Don’t give a negative impression taking too much time on thinking about your joining date, old salaries etc. Answer the question immediately to throw a good impression to your interviewer.  Your answer should make it clear that you’re a strong performer in your current role and are now looking for a new opportunity to grow your professional career.

Answer : Well,  For the last two years I have been working in ABC Company as a Sales Associate. In that position, I was responsible for handling all the sales activities, from lead generation through to close.  I was also assigned to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals and meet clients’expectations. During my tenure, I completed various professional and vocation training organized by the company. Which then, I was able to complete the goal using my own methods of sales technique. I was also awarded

different titles at my work.


What if you don’t have any experience?

You still have 100 % chance to impress interviewer sitting opposite to you. Mention about your academic achievements and practical experience you did it in your past. It will definitely help you to win the job agreement paper.

 

Answer : Well,  after completing my accounting degree, i have hired straight away as an Intern in ABC Company where i learned  (Mention what you have learned). Now that I am certified with a master’s degree program, and have all those volunteer hours under my belt, I feel well prepared to apply for a full time work where i can gain more experience and expose my talent for the betterment of the company.

    I am a recent graduate who combined studies with working and other commitments which included working as a Presiding Officer in the FCT local government elections after excelling in the training course prior to the election. While in school I also undertook a 3 months industrial training with the Packaging Department of the Kudendah Brewery owned by the Nigerian Breweries PLC where I learnt a lot about stock taking and ordering of materials needed for packaging operations. Upon graduation I worked with Dreeze Ventures as a marketer where I was later promoted to the ICT unit for data uploads.

    Few months later, I was again promoted to Head of Office operations where I was saddled with the responsibility of recruiting ad hoc staff, supervision of all production operations, overseeing of marketing activities and others. My multi talk ability, strong passion to ensure customer satisfaction and ability to work effectively under time pressure for long and extended hours enabled me to handle my responsibilities which paved way for the company to be awarded Best innovative exhibitor for 2016 Abuja Chamber and Commerce Fair. I currently work with Dbegotin Educational Foundation as an Assistant Project Manager.

During my working environment, I have learnt how to speak to other people effectively and efficiently, how to dress up as a face of the environment, work under pressure and manners.     My work experience actually started 7years ago when I was temporarily employed in a state hospital as a volunteer/field worker. My major role then was to track loss to follow up and to also render a home based care services to clients. After working with the hospital for about a year , I got an offer to work with a Community Based organization as a Program Assistant where my responsibility is to assist in the implementation of all projects/programme activities. During this course I was opportune to attend trainings that helped my programming skills and with in little time I was promoted as a Prevention Program Officer. A year later I got an appointment with a bigger organization to coordinate a 2 year international project. This really gave me an opportunity to exploit my programming skills ( such as coordinating, advocacy, programming, planning, creating awareness, training of implementing partners, setting goals and objectives,but getting, documentation, report writing etc). I also attended trainings both internationally and locally for more programming effectiveness and update.

    I have one year teaching experience during my nysc were I taught over 90 students biology in the senior class, i also have a six months industrial training experience at NAFDAC we’re I was oportuned to learn NAFDAC standard operating procedure, and various knowledge in several laboratory such as pharmaceutical control lab, cosmetics, pharmacology and pharmacognosy laboratory.

    I have had two years of working experience in this field. In the first year, I took part in the implementation of a computerized accounting system for the organization which involved the bookkeeping procedures right up to the preparation of financial statements and finally the implementation of the accounting software In the second year I was an accountant in a college and it involved transactions on payroll, taxation, social security benefits, budgeting and bookkeeping. I also took part in an audit mission of a diocese which entailed sorting out their expenses and revenues and helping them come up with accurate financial statements.
